1. Gov. Janet Mills announced Thursday afternoon in a press conference that the state will require health care workers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by October 1. (NEWS CENTER)

2. The FDA on Thursday night authorized Covid-19 boosters for people with weakened immune systems. (IG)

3. All students attending classes in-person this fall within the Maine Community College System will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Students must show proof that they have received at least the first dose of a vaccine before the first day of in-person classes. (WGME)

4. The 2020 census shows that Maine remains the whitest state in the nation but is becoming more diverse. The state’s population remains overwhelmingly white. The numbers decreased slightly from 95.2.% of the population to 90.8% over the past decade. (WMTW)

5. Today and tomorrow Wendy’s is reminding you they have breakfast by giving out free sandwiches. Just show up at a participating Wendy’s during breakfast hours to get the free sandwich while supplies last. That’s between 6:00 am and 10:30 am in most locations. (NEWS WEEK)
