1. Maine’s seven-day average of new Covid-19 cases fell to 42 Thursday, down from 66.7 a week ago and 239.3 a month ago. (PRESS HERALD)

2. Cumberland County is leading the state with 67.8% of all residents fully vaccinated. Nearly 57% of all Mainers have been vaccinated. (PRESS HERALD)

3. More than 100,000 people have signed up for Maine’s vaccination sweepstakes, 24 hours after Gov. Janet Mills announced the lottery-style prize. The governor will announce the winner and the prize amount July 4. (WMTW)

4. President Biden signed a bill making Juneteenth a federal holiday. This is the twelfth federal holiday and the first new federal holiday established since Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 1983. To celebrate the holiday this year, a three-day event in Portland is planned for Congress Square Park. (IG)
