1. Donald Trump has signed the COVID-19 relief and government spending package. The President tweeted the news on Sunday evening saying, “Information to follow.” Trump’s signature of the $900 billion Covid relief package extends unemployment benefits and includes a $600 direct payment to Americans. 2. The U.S. tops 19.1 million Covid-19 cases with over 333,000 deaths. The Maine CDC reported 4 new covid related deaths and 333 new cases on Sunday. Maine’s death toll is 323. 189 Mainers are currently hospitalized w/ covid-19. (WMTW)

3. The USPS is still dealing with delays across the country due to historic holiday mail volume and staff shortages due, in part, to COVID-19. It could take more than a week for the U.S. Postal Service to deal with a massive shipping backlog in Maine. (WMTW)

5. “Wonder Woman 1984” generated surprisingly robust ticket sales for these pandemic times. The film collected $16.7 million from 2,100 North American theaters and gets bragging rights for the biggest opening weekend haul in the coronavirus era.(VARIETY)
