1. The U.S. tops 32.2 million covid-19 cases with more than 574,000 related deaths. The Maine CDC reported 1 new death and 261 new cases on Wednesday bringing Maine’s death toll to 778 with 117 Mainers currently hospitalized. (WMTW)

2. More COVID-19 vaccine clinics across Maine are now offering walk-in vaccinations. (Portland Expo, Former Pier 1 building at the Maine Mall, Former Marshalls in Sanford, MaineHealth’s clinic in Farmington, next week – Scarborough Downs… Belfast, Boothbay, Norway, and Rockland also have options) (WMTW)

3. The MPA on Wednesday said athletes are no longer required to wear masks during competition or during practice. Masks are still required indoors. Spectators are not required to wear a mask at outside events. (NEWS CENTER)

4. The Portland Sea Dogs announced that Gifford’s Ice Cream will be the team’s official ice cream partner and will supply the popular Sea Dogs Biscuit. The Sea Dogs dropped its affiliation with Shain’s of Maine after their owner used a racial slur with an employee. (WGME)
