1. The president of Haiti, Jovenel Moise (JOE-VA-NEL MO-EESE), was killed Wednesday morning. He was assassinated during an organized attack on his residence. Haiti’s First Lady was also shot and was taken to a hospital. (CNN)

2. Two Auburn McDonald’s employees are facing charges after one of them “accidentally” dropped Suboxone in a child’s Happy Meal. The employee responsible for dropping the drugs into the Happy Meal had bought them illegally from another employee earlier in the shift. (WGME)

3. Abbott Labs, makers of COVID-19 testing kits and other medical technology, is laying off 400 full-time employees at its facilities in Westbrook and Scarborough. (WMTW)

4. Food trucks could be banned from parking on Portland’s Eastern Prom if a solution isn’t found to reduce the amount of litter in the area. (WGME)

5. Chick-fil-A has been named America’s top fast-food spot for the seventh year in a row, according to the American Customer Satisfaction Index. Of all the fast-food restaurants known as “limited-service”, McDonald’s was ranked the worst. (NEWS CENTER)
