1. High School graduations are back and in-person. Deering held its graduation on Memorial Field yesterday. Portland and Casco Bay hold their graduations today at Merrill Auditorium. (WGME)
2. The U.S. tops 33.2 million covid-19 cases with more than 595,000 related deaths. The Maine CDC reported 2 new deaths and 61 new cases on Wednesday bringing Maine’s death toll at 827 with 87 Mainers hospitalized. More than 52% of Mainers are fully vaccinated. (WMTW)
3. Developers are seeking to transform Portland’s iconic Time and Temperature Building. The plans for transforming the building into a 186-room hotel with a rooftop bar will be reviewed by the city’s Historic Preservation Board. (WMTW)
4. Danny Ainge – the only Celtic in the team’s history to win championships both as a player and as a general manager – announced yesterday that he is retiring as President of Basketball Operations. Brad Stevens, who has served as the team’s head coach, has been promoted to the position. A search for a new head coach has begun. (WGME)
