1. Maine State Police said they are trying to determine the Rise of the Moors’ motive, if they were truly traveling to Maine and what kind of training they were talking about. 3. Portland police say a group of at least 300 people allegedly set off fireworks and aimed them at officers Monday night in the Kennedy Park area. One 17-year-old boy from Portland was arrested. (WMTW)

5. The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Eagle, known as America’s Tall Ship, will be in Portland in August as part of Maine’s bicentennial celebration. The 295-foot ship will be at the Ocean Gateway from Aug. 6-9 for a weekend of public tours and other events. (PRESS HERALD)
