3. VFX artist and Gorham native Eric Saidon collapsed while talking to reporters after winning his Oscar. Doctors figured out he had a ruptured, small intestine and he was developing sepsis. He is currently recovering in the hospital. (WGME)

5. A bill to make a four-day workweek the national standard has been reintroduced by California Rep. Mark Takano, a Democrat. His proposal would mandate overtime pay for hourly workers after 32 hours. (CNN)
