1. The northbound lanes of the Maine Turnpike in Saco are closed following a crash involving multiple vehicles.Maine State Police report multiple vehicles, including a tractor trailer, collided near Mile 34 of the turnpike. State troopers had just arrived at the crash site at 8 a.m. and no further details were immediately available. The crash was reported around 7:45 a.m. (Press Herald)

2. Funeral services have been announced for Maine State Police Detective Ben Campbell. The service will take place Tuesday, April 9 at 11 a.m. at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland. (WMTW)

3. The U.S. Postal Service has announced the creation of a new forever stamp honoring President George H.W. Bush, who died late last year at the age of 94. The first-day-of-issue ceremony will be on the former president’s birthday, June 12, at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, Texas. (WMTW)

4. Texas Tech will face Virginia in Monday night’s NCAA men’s basketball title game in Minneapolis. Texas Tech beat Michigan State 61-51 on Saturday. Virginia beat Auburn 63-62 after a pair of controversial calls. Kyle Guy hit three free throws to seal the victory after getting fouled on a last-second three-pointer. Replays seemed to confirm that the referees made the right call. But the refs completely blew a double-dribble call about a second earlier when Virginia guard Ty Jerome dribbled the ball off his back leg, picked it up and started dribbling again. Legendary broadcaster Dick Vitale called the missed call “absurd.” The Baylor Bears won the women’s NCAA tournament on Sunday. (NY Post)
