1. The House Judiciary Committee is set to take over the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, and will hold its first hearing on Wednesday. Committee member Val Demings said she hopes Trump will appear: “If he has not done anything wrong, we’re certainly anxious to hear his explanation of that.” (AP NEWS)

2. The winter storm is here. Maine will be dealing with two rounds of snow. The first being last night and today, then a brief lull between for most, then round two with heavier snow tonight and Tuesday. Totals are expected to be in the 6-8” range for most of southern Maine. (WGME)

3. A 65-year-old Van Buren, Maine man who outfitted his home with a device designed to fire a handgun at anyone opening the front door unintentionally shot and killed himself on Thanksgiving night. (USA TODAY)

4. On December 1, 1955, Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus, sparking the city’s historic bus boycott and setting the stage for the Civil Rights Movement. Yesterday, her statue was unveiled, 30 feet from where she changed history. (Twitter)
