1. AN EARLY SUNDAY MORNING FIRE AT A MULTI-FAMILY BUILDING IN LEWISTON HAS LEFT A DOZEN PEOPLE LOOKING FOR PLACES TO STAY. NO ONE WAS INJURED BUT THREE FAMILIES WERE DISPLACED. THE RED CROSS IS WORKING TO PROVIDE FOR THEIR NEEDS. (WGME)

2. A STORM IS EXPECTED TO BRING SNOW, A WINTRY MIX AND FREEZING RAIN TO MAINE TODAY INTO TUESDAY. TODAY’S EVENING COMMUTE MAY SEEM SLOWER DUE TO SNOW OR RAIN. THE TUESDAY MORNING COMMUTE MAY BE MORE SLIPPERY DUE TO SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN. (WGME)

3. GEORGE STEVENS ACADEMY IN BLUE HILL, MAINE IS CELEBRATING THE 43RD ANNIVERSARY OF A TWINKIE BEING ON DISPLAY. THE TREAT WAS UNWRAPPED IN 1976 AS PART OF A LESSON ON FOOD PRESERVATIVES. THE TWINKIE IS STILL ROUGHLY THE SAME SIZE AND SHAPE AS A FRESH ONE, ALTHOUGH ITS ORIGINAL YELLOW COLOR HAS FADED AND ITS TEXTURE HAS HARDENED. (UPI)

4. THE CEO OF INSTAGRAM SAYS THE PLATFORM WILL START HIDING U.S. USERS’ LIKE COUNTS STARTING THIS WEEK. YOU’LL BE ABLE TO SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE LIKED A GIVEN POST, BUT NO ONE ELSE WILL. THE IDEA IS TO TRY TO DEPRESSURIZE INSTAGRAM. (VARIETY)

5. VETERANS DAY. THIS DAY HONORS THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED IN THE MILITARY, AND IS A FEDERAL U.S. HOLIDAY. PORTLAND’S VETERANS DAY PARADE FROM LONGFELLOW SQUARE TO CITY HALL WILL START AT 10:30AM. TRAFFIC WILL BE CLOSED ALONG CONGRESS STREET AND SIDE STREETS FROM 10:15AM TO APPROXIMATELY 11:15AM. (WGME)
