  1. Authorities were called to the area of Sherman Street and Mellen Street in Portland on a report of gunshots Tuesday evening. Officials say they found a 26-year-old man who had been shot. The man was taken to Maine Med where he later died. (WMTW)


  1. More than 31,000 CMP customers lost power Wednesday night as the result of a storm that brought high winds and heavy rain. By 7 a.m., the number of customers without power had dropped to 18,561. (PH)


  1. Gov. Mills is expected to unveil a financial relief plan to low-and-middle-income Mainers for their heating oil and electricity costs by the end of this week.


  1. A new study from WalletHub shows the best and worst cities in America to be single. More than 180 cities were ranked. Portland came in 21st. And Lewiston also made the list at 144.  Warwick, RI ranked worst and Seattle ranked best. (WGME)


  1. Prince William and Kate Middleton spent the first night of their Boston trip at the Celtics game! Will and Kate are in Boston for a three-day trip to discuss climate change.  Tatum scored 49 points and the first place Celtics won their 5th game in a row. (People)
