1. On Tuesday, the U.S. House of Representatives released a 300-page impeachment report laying out the case for removing President Trump from office. For only the fourth time in the nation’s history the impeachment process enters a new phase today with House Judiciary hearings. (Andrew Johnson 1868, Richard Nixon 1974, Bill Clinton 1998). (WGME)

2. The second storm in two days brought heavy snow and strong winds Tuesday, causing many closings and a few vehicles to slide off slick roads. Kennebunk received 15 inches of snow from both storms. The two-storm total for Sanford was 6 inches, Scarborough 13 inches, and Portland 8 inches. (PRESS HERALD)

3. Portland Rising is one of four expansion franchises announced Tuesday by the women’s Premier Ultimate League. Tryouts begin Jan. 25. The PUL’s standard player salary in 2019 was $40 per game. The team’s owners are in talks with city officials about using either Fitzpatrick or Memorial Stadium for home games. (PRESS HERALD)

4. The FBI recently issued a warning that smart TVs can be manipulated to spy on people. Through built-in microphones, internet connections and facial-recognition software hackers can “silently cyberstalk you.” They can change channels, adjust volume and show kids inappropriate videos. (CNN)
