1. At Tuesday’s State of the Union, President Trump spent much of his speech highlighting the economy’s strength. Trump also said he would honor Rush Limbaugh with the Presidential Medal of Freedom. 2. L.L. Bean Inc. will cut 200 workers now and is expected to close its Lewiston-based call center in 2021. A spokeswoman for the Freeport-based retailer, said the company must streamline operations to position itself for long-term growth. (WGME)
3. The Boston Red Sox have traded star outfielder Mookie Betts and veteran pitcher David Price to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Boston will receive 23-year-old outfielder Alex Verdugo and other players. (ESPN)
4. The San Antonio Zoo is offering a unique opportunity to get back at an ex this Valentine’s Day. Their “Cry Me a Cockroach” event lets anyone name a cockroach or rat after their ex, which in turn will be fed to zoo animals.
