1. Twitter on Tuesday sued Elon Musk to force the Tesla CEO to complete his $44 billion acquisition of the social media platform. Musk on Friday said he was terminating the agreement because Twitter had failed to provide adequate information about fake accounts on the site.

2. Strong storms moved through southern and central Maine Tuesday evening leaving 17,000 CMP customers without power. In Windham, lightning hit a tree and chimney, causing a fire inside a home.

3. Multiple streets in Portland’s downtown district and along its congested waterfront will be temporarily closed to traffic during the National Governor’s Association summer conference being held in the city Today through Friday. Governors from 55 states and territories have been invited to attend the conference.

4. Happy French Fry Day! McDonald’s is offering free large fries today through its mobile app. Wendy’s is also giving away french fries all week. The restaurant is calling it Fry Week. Customers will get free fries with the purchase of a different item each day. BK’s Chicken Fries will be free through the mobile app on Friday.
