If you’ve ever seen an episode of Saturday Night Live, you know that the most popular recurring segment of the sketch show is “Weekend Update” – currently co-anchored by cast members Colin Jost and Michael Che. Beginning on August 10th, the satirical news segment will air a four-episode primetime special on NBC. Each episode will last a half hour and will serve up plenty of hilarious takes on current events. NBC also announced that other SNL cast members are expected to appear on the show, most likely portraying crazy characters – both new and old.

With all of the craziness going on in the world, we’re sure that they’ll have no shortage of material to discuss. What do you think?
