(News) 2pac’s Powamekka Café Opens This Weekend Only

On April 7, 2pac’s estate will unveil Powamekka Café, an original restaurant concept that the hip hop legend dreamed of one day creating before is life was cut short in 1996.

April 7 to April 9, New York restaurant Sweet Chick will transform into Tupac’s Powamekka Café. Photos of his childhood, poetry, and music memorabilia will be on display for fans. You’ll also be able to order from a list of 2pac’s favorites including meatloaf, gumbo, and his cousin Jamala’s fried chicken wings.

2pac dreamed of creating a restaurant where people would be able to “escape the worldz cold reality.” Ideas for his restaurant were found on three handwritten pages in his notebook, Shakur’s vision will come to life this weekend.
