DMX is back!

After getting out of jail, DMX is determined to get his career back on track by adding another film to his acting repertoire. According to HotNewHipHop, not only is DMX working on a new album, but he will be acting in a new film!

Hot 97 reports that DMX will be staring as one of the lead detectives in the crime drama Chronicle of a Serial Killer, “a movie which details the story of Henry Brolin, a man who targets different women who he believes will end up like his mother.” BET states Brendan Sexton and Tara Reid are other stars that will be in the film.

When director Steve Stanulis was asked why cast DMX for the role in the film, he responded by stating, “when my casting director suggested DMX it immediately resonated with me as a perfect fit,” he said. “I have no doubt he is going bring a different dynamic to the role and I’m excited to have him part of this talented cast.”

Until the release of Chronicle of a Serial Killer, which is scheduled to start shooting in NYC in June, fans can binge watch DMX’s previous films Romeo Must Die, Exit Wounds, and Belly.
