American Horror Story fans better start planning out their fall schedule to include time to watch the new season of the show! Yesterday, FX announced that the new season American Horror Story: 1984 will premiere on September 18th at 10 p.m.

1984 is the ninth season of Ryan Murphy’s horror show. The teaser of this upcoming season is styled like the 1980s slasher movies and definitely depicts a situation most of us would NOT want to be caught in. Watch the teaser below:

The latest teaser does not show who the returning cast members are, but Murphy announced Emma Roberts would return as part of the cast. But sadly, it’s reported that Evan Peters, the only male actor to appear in the first eight seasons, will not be back. Hopefully this isn’t true because it would not be the same without him. Sarah Paulson, the only female actor to star in the first eight seasons, is reported to return.

After watching the first teaser, it definitely leaves fans on the edge of their seats and anticipating the next big story Ryan Murphy has come up with. When the season airs, it’s probably best to keep the lights on and the doors locked when watching each episode.
