(News) Gorham High Grad Oscar Winner / Full 95th Academy Awards Recap

The 95th Academy Awards took place on Sunday. Maine Made!! Maine Winners!! Gorham native, Eric Saindon was a member of a four-man team that won an Oscar in the visual effects category for their work on Avatar: The Way of Water. Saindon graduated from Gorham High in 1988. Sunday’s nomination was his third but first win!

Everything Everywhere All at Once won 7 of its 11 nominations including Best Picture.

Michelle Yeoh won Best Actress for her role in Everything Everywhere All at Once.

Jamie Lee Curtis is now an Oscar winner! The 64-year-old actress won her very first Academy Award for Everything Everywhere All At Once.

Brendan Fraser took home the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in The Whale.
