Hasbro is giving its iconic Monopoly game its first refresh in 85 years, getting rid of Community Chest cards with topics like beauty contests, life insurance and holiday funds… and you can help choose which 16 new cards get added to the game at monopolycommunitychest.com. Instead of “placing second in a beauty contest” you could choose a card like “You go to the local school’s carwash fundraiser, but you forgot to close your windows” and more. A statement from Hasbro read “The world has changed a lot since Monopoly became a household name more than 85 years ago, and clearly today community is more important than ever.” The new cards will debut this Fall.
