Logic paid tribute to Ice Cube’s classic “Today Was A Good Day” by sharing a cover of the track. Some were unaware that Logic is biracial and took issue with him saying the n-word. Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., had a different criticism. The Cocaine Bear actor tweeted the clip of Logic’s cover and wrote “I respect Logic. I think he can rap… But bruh… if [I] ever hear you sing about my mother again… it’s gone be a misunderstanding lmaoooo.” Fans responded to the tweet surprised to learn that Kim was actually his mom. Jackson responded to them “Imagine having to be your pops hype man and doing that part …….. I’ll wait………pretty awkward right…….” He added “So now when either me or my brother hit the stage with him the line is ‘I got a beep from HER’ instead of my moms name.”
