MLB is expected to send a proposal about the start of the 2020 season within the next week. According to multiple media reports, the plan is to start Spring Training on June 10, and have opening day on July 1. However, it’s unclear whether those plans are feasible, or will be accepted by the player’s union. ESPN’s Jeff Passan said Wednesday that teams are telling players to “ramp up baseball activities.”
