Kids in New York City won’t meet Santa at Macy’s flagship store in Herald Square this year. In a regular year, more than 250,000 stop by the location to say hi to Mr. Claus. Because of coronavirus concerns, the department store will not have its traditional set up for children to meet and take pictures with St. Nick. Some malls across the country are keeping Santa meet and greets going by way of social distancing. Instead of sitting in Santa’s lap, children will tell him what they want from at least 6 feet away.
