New York Times just dropped a profile on Kendrick Lamar calling him the greatest rapper of his generation. In the piece Lamar discussed the video for The Heart Part 5 and how he almost deep faked Eminem. While Lamar didn’t go through with Eminem, he did deep fake himself as Kanye West, Nipsey Hussle, Will Smith, Kobe Bryant, OJ Simpson, and Jussie Smollett. He also explained why he’s rarely on social media. “My social media, most of the time, is completely off. I can easily smell my own [expletive]. I’m not one of those dudes that be like, Oh, yeah, I know how good I am, but I also know the reason why I’m so good is because God’s blessed me with the talent to execute on the talent, and the moment that you start getting lost in your ego, that’s when you start going down.”
