Last week, Sean “Diddy” Combs was “on the fence” about bringing back the show Making the Band to MTV after he revealed the network approached him about partnering up. The rapper took to Instagram to get some feedback from his followers:
As of yesterday, both MTV and Diddy announced that they will reunite to discover the next breakout superstars. Here is the video he posted to his Instagram to announce the news:
He revealed that there will be an open call casting across all major social media platforms by uploading a video submission using #MTBCasting. The show first premiered on MTV in 2002 and became a breakthrough concept in music and television creating bands such as O-Town, Dainty Kane, Da Band, and Day26. This is exciting news for fans of the show and it will be interesting to see how they revamp it!
