Will Smith is reportedly developing a reboot of his classic ’90s sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. This time the series will be called simply Bel-Air, and will be a drama. The newly imagined series was the brainchild of Morgan Cooper. Cooper created a viral video in 2019 of the sitcom as a drama, which caught the attention and praise of Smith, who agreed to produce. The show is being pitched to multiple streaming services. The original show ran from 1990 to 1996 on NBC, and is currently streaming on HBO Max.
