Last year it was Beyonce… this year it’s Bruno Mars.
It was announced yesterday that Bruno will be performing at half time of the Super Bowl on February 2nd at MetLife Stadium.
The NFL said in a released statement, “The Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show is the most-watched musical event of the year . . . More than 110.5 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year’s show.”
Last year’s halftime performer was Beyonce and some of the other past performers include: Madonna, The Who, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Prince, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2.
Michael Jackson’s 1993 halftime performance set the standard that so many artists have tried to emulate.
Bruno will be joined by his band, The Hooligans.
