1. The search for Alex Jackson, 33, of Windham, continues as authorities, friends, and family are baffled by his sudden disappearance on May 12. His mom said “It’s like he’s been plucked from thin air.” Alex was last seen in the Turner area traveling in a white Dodge Ram. His dog was recovered on May 15. (PH)
2. A stolen vehicle led to a law enforcement pursuit through Hermon and Bangor Sunday afternoon. When deputies responded to reports of a man acting erratically, 20-year-old Dylan Baker jumped into a vehicle that was stopped and physically forced the driver out, stealing the car. (WMTW)
3. Portland schools are facing challenges in enrolling students due to a significant increase in the number of asylum seekers. This school year, the city school district has registered more than 800 students whose first language is not English, marking a two-fold rise compared to the previous year. (PH)
