2. Gifford’s CEO said this week that the homemade ice cream brand expects to be fully operational in the next few months after a fire devastated the Skowhegan plant. Select flavors are slowly coming back to shelves and the plan is for the Skowhegan facility to be fully operational again by the end of the year. (PH)
3. Casco Bay Lines is heading to a fare increase. The Casco Bay Lines finance committee on Wednesday reviewed three budget scenarios that would raise rates anywhere from 8% to 16%. “It’s been 14 years. That’s unheard of in anything else,” said Hank Berg, general manager. “It’s time.” (PH)
