1. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has removed himself from the presidential ballot in the state of Maine just days after he suspended his campaign. Kennedy had until 5 p.m. Tuesday to request removal from Maine’s ballot. His campaign made that request in time. (WMTW)
2. Manchester, Maine’s fire chief, Francis Wozniak, has resigned weeks after being accused of impersonating a law enforcement official. Wozniak was accused of telling people he was a “constable” and installing and using blue flashing lights on a municipal truck. (WGME)
3. The University of Maine system is seeing their highest enrollment in the system since 2021. Part of the reason for the enrollment increase is a 39% increase in undergraduate transfers – 650 of them from the Maine Community College System. Maine has made community college tuition free for recent Maine high school graduates. (PH)
4. Yarmouth Police said an old cannonball that was turned in to them by a resident wound up being a live munition. YPD reminded citizens that if they come across old military style munitions to leave them in place and notify the police department immediately. (WMTW)
