1. Students at Edna Libby Elementary in Standish will return to class today, two days after a kindergartner was struck and killed by a school bus. The district says counselors will remain available as the community continues to mourn while the crash investigation continues. (WMTW)

2. A small plane crashed into a residential neighborhood in Nashua, New Hampshire, clipping a home and landing upside down near a parking lot. The pilot was the only person on board and was taken to the hospital. No one else was hurt. (WMTW)

3. A fire destroyed the Outback Garage in Patten, Maine early Wednesday morning and damaged a nearby apartment building. Two people escaped safely, but eight residents were displaced. The cause is under investigation. (WMTW)

4. A powerful storm moves into Maine on Friday, bringing heavy rain and strong winds with gusts up to 60 miles per hour, especially along the coast. Scattered power outages are possible before temperatures plunge overnight, creating a risk for black ice. (WGME)

5. Good news for donut lovers. Tony’s Donut Shop in Portland is staying open after longtime baker Emily Bachelder was named the new owner, keeping the family tradition alive. The shop will close briefly for a holiday break before a grand reopening in early January. (WMTW)
