1. A Michigan man allegedly stabbed the president of his company on Tuesday. Nathan Mahoney is accused of attacking Erik Denslow at an Anderson Express Inc. staff meeting. Authorities don’t have a motive but aren’t ruling out the copycat nature of the crime where UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was killed on December 4th. (People)
2. In its first full year, sports betting generated approximately $6 million in revenue for the state of Maine, with December figures still pending. The state has not seen a significant rise in calls to Maine’s problem gambling helpline related to sports betting. (WMTW)
3. Eligible workers can soon park in select Portland downtown garages for half the price. The program offers half-priced, hourly parking in the city-owned Spring Street and Elm Street garages to low- to moderate-income employees and unpaid volunteers. 4. The Portland Hearts of Pine inaugural schedule was released yesterday. They’ll make their debut on March 29 against FC Naples in Naples, Florida. Their first game at newly renovated Fitzpatrick Stadium is set for May 4 against One Knoxville SC. They will play 17 home games with the final one on October 25th. (PH)
5. No one correctly picked all six Mega Millions on Tuesday. That means tonight’s jackpot is up to $825 million with a cash option of $382.2 million.
