1. More than 500 Portland students walked out of school and marched to City Hall, protesting ICE after two local high schoolers were detained with their family. 3. Portland’s first snowstorm hit a day before the city’s higher parking ban fines kicked in. Drivers ticketed Tuesday still paid the old $40 rate, but going forward the fine jumps to $130. The city wrote nearly 600 tickets and towed 14 cars. (PH)
4. The Maine State Police Bomb Squad seized dozens of 200-year-old cannonballs from two Castine museums after discovering one from the War of 1812 that was still potentially explosive. Only one was live — the rest will be returned. (WGME)
5. Patriots owner Robert Kraft and former head coach Bill Belichick are both finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Kraft is the lone contributor finalist, Belichick the lone coach finalist — setting up a possible reunion in Canton next summer after leading New England to six Super Bowl titles together. (WMTW)
