5. Team USA has officially captured its most successful Winter Olympics performance ever. A thrilling victory in men’s hockey over rival Canada secured the final gold medal for the Americans. Team USA finishes the Milan-Cortina Games with 12 gold medals. This sets a new national record for the most first-place finishes at a single Winter Olympics. The United States ends the 2026 Games with 33 total medals, including 11 silver and 11 bronze. The U.S. came in second place to Norway, which took home 41 total medals. (Forbes)
