2. Trump says he has rewritten his RNC speech after being the target of an assassination attempt. “The speech I was going to give on Thursday was going to be a humdinger,” he said. He will now call for a new effort at national unity. “This is a chance to bring the whole country, even the whole world, together. 3. The 17th annual Tri for a Cure raised a record-breaking $2.13 million for the Maine Cancer Foundation. The event has raised more than $22 million overall for cancer research.
