1. A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with the death of Sunshine “Sunny” Stewart, the Maine woman found dead after paddleboarding on Crawford Pond. Police say the teen, a summer visitor to the area, was taken into custody Wednesday night. The medical examiner confirmed Stewart died from strangulation and blunt force trauma. (WMTW)
2. A Vermont man is facing charges after allegedly driving drunk, following a woman, and crashing into a parked police cruiser in Rockland. Police say Tilford Tillman, 29, was arrested Wednesday after he tailed the woman into the department’s parking lot and hit a marked cruiser. No one was injured. (WMTW)
3. Peacock is raising prices. On July 23rd, the streaming service will increase by $3. Peacock Premium will cost $10.99 a month, and Premium Plus will cost $16.99 per month. Peacock will also debut a new tier called Select. It will feature NBC and Bravo’s current seasons of shows, plus additional titles for $7.99 a month. (Variety)
4. 86-year-old Kim Knor is chasing a major milestone — 1,000 skydives — and she’s adding to the count in Maine. Knor, who first jumped in 1959, hit 870 jumps this week at Skydive New England in Lebanon. After a 37-year break to raise her kids, she’s back in the sky aiming for gold wings. (WGME)
5. The 60th annual Yarmouth Clam Festival kicks off today, drawing over 100,000 people for a weekend packed with food, music, and community fun.
