1. New details emerged in the murder of paddleboarder Sunshine Stewart on Crawford Pond. The campground owner says both the victim and teen suspect were staying there. Surveillance shows him on the water shortly before Stewart was killed. He’s now held without bail, and prosecutors want to try him as an adult. (WGME)
2. The state is taking action after a 14-year-old escaped from Long Creek Youth Development Center Friday night. He was caught two-and-a-half hours later in South Portland. Officials say they’ve identified how he got out and are working to prevent future escapes. (WGME)
3. A Portland man pleaded guilty to tampering with consumer products after lacing ice cream with THC, sickening four people in New Hampshire. Marc Flore admitted he made the batch for personal use but stored it unlabeled at an ice cream shop. He faces up to 10 years in prison. (WGME)
4. A 17-year-old from Connecticut is facing charges after crashing at 110 miles per hour in Portsmouth with three passengers and a four-foot python in the car. Police say all four suffered minor injuries. The teen is charged with reckless driving and disobeying an officer. (WGME)
5. On Monday, Starbucks announced that the Pumpkin Spice Latte is returning on August 26. In addition to the PSL, fan-favorite Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, and Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte are also returning to the menu. Starbucks is also adding a new fall drink, called the Pecan Cortado, an espresso drink blended with equal parts milk and a nut-forward syrup. Starbucks is also adding a fall menu item, Italian Sausage Egg Bites. Notably absent from this year’s announcement are the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai, Iced Caramel Apple Cream Latte, and Iced Honey Apple Almond Milk Flat White. The actual start of autumn falls on Sept. 22 this year. (CBS)
