1. A Maine man is facing multiple charges after allegedly chasing people with a hockey stick outside a Lyman store. Deputies say 64-year-old Randy Marcotte also pursued victims with his truck and was found with knives, a hatchet, a club, and nunchucks in his vehicle. Already out on bail, Marcotte now faces charges including criminal threatening and violating release conditions. He’s being held without bail. (WGME)
2. Shake Shack and Chick-fil-A could soon open along the Maine Turnpike as part of major service plaza upgrades from Kittery to Augusta. The Turnpike Authority is renegotiating its contract to improve dining, restrooms, and play areas. (PH)

The boost comes as competing retailers like Walmart host similar sales to compete with one of the biggest sales events in 2025.
