1. In a Sunday interview with NBC News, former President Donald Trump said he’s “not joking” about seeking a third term, claiming, “There are methods which you could do it.” While acknowledging it’s “far too early” to consider, Trump agreed that one option could be Vice President JD Vance running and later “passing the baton.” The 22nd Amendment limits presidents to two terms. 2. South Portland’s Longhorn Steakhouse near the Maine Mall is closed until further notice after part of its ceiling collapsed Friday. Employees noticed ceiling tiles falling and quickly moved patrons away before the collapse. One customer sustained minor injuries. Fire Chief Phil Selberg said nearly 150 people were inside at the time. (WMTW)
3. St. Dominic Academy in Auburn will close their high school at the end of the year. Portland Bishop James Ruggieri notes the high school program was no longer “financially solvent” given current enrollment. (WMTW)
4. Every number-one seed is headed to San Antonio for the Men’s College Basketball Final Four. On Saturday, Florida and Duke punched their tickets to the National Semifinals. Sunday saw Houston and Auburn earn their place in the Final Four. It’s only the second time since the 1985 expansion to 64 teams that all of the number-one seeds made it to the Final Four. Florida will take on Auburn, and Houston battles Duke on Saturday night. (BR)
