3. The House Oversight Committee heard new testimony on the US’ knowledge of UFOs.Timothy Gallaudet, an American oceanographer who once served as the Navy’s chief meteorologist, testified that he received an email warning about “mid-air collisions” with a now declassified video of a UAP, or an Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena, captured by a Naval aircraft. The email, which asked Gallaudet if any classified tech demos were taken place, disappeared from his email the next day. When asked what he thought the objects captured on video could be, he said they were of “nonhuman higher intelligence.” Luis Elizondo, a former military intelligence official who ran the Pentagon’s efforts to research UFOs for ten years, blasted the agency for its “excessive secrecy all to hide the fact that we are not alone in the cosmos.” He said the US is facing a national security concern, as most of these recent sightings are around military installations.
