1. Cumberland County Commissioners voted to keep an agreement with federal immigration authorities. The vote came Monday night after months of calls from protesters to end the contract, which allows ICE to hold prisoners at the county jail. The contract with ICE pays the jail $150 a day per federal detainee. (WGME)
2. The Maine Human Rights Commission is suing five school districts that banned transgender students from playing sports and using bathrooms for the gender they identify with. The lawsuit asks a judge to order these districts to repeal what the commission says are discriminatory policies, all of which passed when the White House began pressuring Maine last year to ban transgender athletes from girls sports. 3. Maine launched its online renewal of Real ID Monday. The Secretary of State’s Office says more than 70,000 Real ID driver’s licenses are up for renewal in the next year, and the new system will help reduce wait times at BMV locations. Real IDs became mandatory in May this year for travelers or anyone entering federal facilities. (WGME)
4. AAA predicts a record-setting 81.8 million people will travel at least 50 miles from home for Thanksgiving. At least 73 million travelers plan to drive to their locations. AAA expects 6.1 million Americans will fly during Thanksgiving week. (CBS)
5. Chick-Fil-A’s considering adding a chicken and waffles sandwich to its menu. The sandwich features crunchy fried chicken topped with bacon, nestled between two warm maple waffles. They’re going to first test them in their Baltimore and San Antonio markets through the end of January. (FB)
