1. Legendary music producer Quincy Jones has died at 91. Jones’ family shared that he passed at his Bel Air home, surrounded by his loved ones. Jones was the producer behind Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” which spent 37 weeks atop the charts and sold 20 million copies worldwide by the end of 1983 alone. Born and raised on Chicago’s southside, Jones’ early career saw him tour with Count Basie. He would later arrange music for legends like Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald, soundtrack scores to ‘Roots” and ‘In The Heat of The Night’ and also oversee the 1985 all-star charity single “We Are The World”. By the time Jones’ memoir ‘Q’ dropped in 2001, he was already a 28-time Grammy award winner, as well as an Emmy and Academy award winner. Jones was also named a Kennedy Center honoree. (DN)

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have tied with three votes each in the tiny New Hampshire township of Dixville Notch, kicking off Election Day in one of the first places in the country to report its presidential preference. 3. The Westbrook High School marching band is one of the top units in the country. They took third place out of 11 in their division at the USBands National Championships Sunday in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The group won awards at the event for “Best Percussion” and “Best Music,” which helped them earn a bronze medal. (WGME)
4. Gritty McDuff’s Brew Pub will close at the end of the month in Freeport after 30 years in business at the location. The restaurant’s 30-year-lease is ending, and the owner was not able to purchase the property. Gritty’s last day in Freeport will be Nov. 30. (PH)
5. Newport Native, Cooper Flagg had 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists in his college debut, and No. 7 Duke beat Maine 96-62 on Monday night in the season opener for both teams. (PH)
