1. The family of a woman who fell off a cliff at Prouts Neck in Scarborough last year is suing the Black Point Inn for $1 million. Romona Gowens went off the main trail on the Prouts Neck cliff walk and leaned against a fence before falling to the rocks below. The inn doesn’t own the cliff walk, but the trail is featured as one of Black Point Inn’s amenities on its website. (WGME)

2. Tropical Storm Philippe is expected to bring widespread, heavy rain to the state of Maine on Saturday with potential flooding in some areas. (WMTW)

3. In 2017, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg commissioned Philip Bermingham, her neighbor in Washington, to take photos of her, under the condition he not release them in her lifetime. One of those photos is being used by the USPS. Bermingham is a part-time Mainer with a residence in Biddeford-Pool. (WGME)

4. ‘Monopoly: Portland, Maine Edition’ board was unveiled at Bayside Bowl yesterday. Some squares include the Hadlock Field, Greater Portland Metro, Portland Head Light and The Porthole. There will also be customized “community chest” and “chance” playing cards. (WGME)

5. Burger King has announced Half-sies. The order contains half french fries and half onion rings. Half-sies will launch at participating locations on October 12th. (CB)
