2. 29-year-old Landen Rankin is in custody after he created a police standoff that prompted nearby MSAD #15 schools go into lockdown. Rankin had made threats to go to a Gorham day care and mentioned bringing a gun with him. The Standoff took place at Rankin’s home which is within 1,000 feet of Gray-New Gloucester High School and Gray-New Gloucester Middle School. (WMTW)

3. Stores across Maine are running out of eggs. The highly contagious avian flu has wreaked havoc on flocks of chickens, and Mainers are now seeing the impacts in local stores. (PH)

4. Anthony’s Italian Kitchen in Portland will close for good on Friday, February 7th. The owner, Anthony Barrasso, is turning 84 years old and retiring after 33 years. (WMTW)

5. Pokemon Happy Meals have returned to McDonald’s for a limited time. There are four dragon-themed boxes featuring Charizard, Pikachu & Dragonite together, Rayquaza, and Roaring Moon, with each box coming with a four-card Pokemon TCG booster pack.
