Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s Verzuz battle series is officially making its long-awaited comeback this month. The legendary producers announced that Verzuz will be live at ComplexCon Las Vegas on October 25, featuring a showdown between Cash Money Records and No Limit Records. “IT’S OFFICIAL. Verzuz is BACK — live at #ComplexCon Las Vegas. Cash Money VERZUZ No Limit Celebration,” the official announcement read. “One stage. Two legendary iconic labels. History is about to be made!!”
This Cash Money vs. No Limit event will be the first Verzuz battle in over three years, following the last matchup between Omarion and Mario in June 2022. Fans can expect a celebration of two powerhouse legacies that helped define Southern hip-hop. Cash Money, founded by Birdman and Slim, launched careers for icons like Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Juvenile, and Mannie Fresh. Across the bayou, Master P’s No Limit Records produced stars including Mystikal, Mia X, Silkk The Shocker, and C-Murder, with even Snoop Dogg joining the roster in the late ’90s for hits like “Down For My N’s” and “Lay Low.”
The return of Verzuz also marks a fresh chapter after a rocky hiatus. A planned third season was delayed due to a legal dispute between Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, and Triller, which purchased Verzuz in 2021. The producers sued Triller in 2022 for $28 million, alleging missed payments, but the matter was settled a month later with a deal that reportedly increased artists’ ownership stakes. Now, with the dust settled, Verzuz is back — and ready to make history once again when Cash Money and No Limit take the stage at ComplexCon Las Vegas on October 25. Livestream details will be announced soon.
