Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after their first commercial release; this year’s nominees released their debut works in 2001 or earlier. John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, highlighted the nominees’ diversity, stating it reflects the evolving landscape of Rock & Roll and its influence on youth culture.
The induction ceremony will take place in the fall, with winners announced in April, alongside recipients of the Musical Influence Award, Musical Excellence Award, and Ahmet Ertegun Award. Wishing the best of luck to all of the nominees (especially Mariah Carey ;))!
