Today for If You Can Hear Her, You Can Be Her, I spoke with Natalie Merchant, an RN injector and laser specialist at Rejuvenations Medi Spa!
Natalie shared how her career began in cosmetology school, where she first discovered an interest in skincare. That passion led her to a plastic surgery center in Texas, where she gained hands-on experience working with advanced treatments, including lasers.
Wanting to expand her skill set even further, Natalie made the decision to pursue nursing, allowing her to become an injector and deepen her expertise in the aesthetics field.
Throughout her career, she has learned that success in this industry goes beyond technique. Natalie emphasized the importance of building trust with clients and creating a comfortable, informed experience, especially when it comes to treatments that may still carry stigma, like Botox.
After relocating back to Maine, she faced the challenge of rebuilding her clientele from the ground up. Through consistency and dedication, she has continued to grow her practice and takes pride in mastering the art of injections!
Now working at Rejuvenations MediSpa, Natalie is part of a team known for its experience and strong reputation, which she says has helped her continue to develop and refine her skills.
Her message to aspiring estheticians and injectors is to take advantage of every opportunity to learn and practice. She encourages others to stay committed to their craft and not be afraid to pursue the next step in their careers.
