Maine Beach Ball is bringing a brand-new summer baseball experience to Old Orchard Beach and General Manager Taylor McFarquhar says it’s about much more than just what happens on the field!
Taylor joined me in studio to talk about the launch of Maine Beach Ball, a collegiate wood bat league that will officially kick off its inaugural season on June 15th. The goal? Create an energetic, interactive, and affordable experience for families, baseball fans, and anyone looking for summer fun in OOB!
Fans can expect themed nights throughout the season, including Pirate Night, Early 2000s Night, Father’s Day promotions, and more. Taylor says the team wants every game to feel like an event, with entertainment and fan interaction built into the experience.
One major focus for Maine Beach Ball is affordability. Tickets are just $7 for adults and $3 for kids, plus parking is free, making it an easy and budget-friendly activity for families this summer.
Taylor also shared his impressive sports background, which includes time working with the Portland Sea Dogs, Boston Red Sox, and Maine Mariners. Now, he’s excited to help build something new and unique for Maine sports fans right in Old Orchard Beach.
Before the season officially begins, Maine Beach Ball will also host a pop-up event at Wharf Street Yacht Club to help introduce the community to the team and everything fans can expect this summer.
