1. A 19-year-old Lebanon man is accused of shooting at another car while driving on Route 202 early Saturday morning. Police say several rounds hit the other vehicle, damaging the driver’s side door and tires, but the driver was not hurt. Zachary Shaw was arrested a few hours later in Sanford and is being held on $25,000 cash bail. (WMTW)

2. Vice President JD Vance is in Brewer this morning, where he’s scheduled to speak at defense technology company CompoTech. Police are warning drivers to expect increased traffic and intermittent road closures around the industrial park throughout the day. Vance last visited the Bangor area in May. (WMTW)

3. A wastewater sample collected in Bangor has tested positive for measles. The Maine CDC says a second sample taken a few days later was negative, and there are no new confirmed cases. Officials don’t know whether the positive sample came from a Bangor resident or someone passing through the area. (WGME)

4. A longtime Scarborough seafood staple has closed for good. Bayley’s Seafood Restaurant served its final customers Thursday after more than 30 years in business. The family-owned restaurant had been serving lobster, clams, fish and more in Scarborough since 1995. (WMTW)

5. Competitive eating champ Joey Chestnut took on three challengers in a Maine bean supper eating contest at Hadlock Field Saturday. Each supper included two red snapper hot dogs, baked beans, brown bread and a whoopie pie. Chestnut put down 10 of them, beating his three opponents combined, who managed eight. (PH)
